Church polity is a theological discipline, and one that has been pushed too far to the side in theological education and discourse. This is an unfortunate development, for church polity is an essential discipline for the life and wellbeing of the church.
Church polity is my main area of ecclesiastical and scholarly interest. Here I write about church polity broadly, as well as matters that are of specific concern to my denomination, the Reformed Church in America. It is my hope that this will be helpful not only to members of the Reformed Church in America, but also for people who want to inquire deeper into the study of church polity.
